Job description
Assists with the development, documentation and maintenance of architectures, qualifications, algorithms, interfaces and designs for software systems. Develops and maintains code and integrates software components into a fully functional software system. Assists with test procedures and documenting test results to ensure software system qualifications are met. Supports software project management and software supplier management functions. Selects, tailors and deploys processes and tools; establishes metrics. Performs software research and trade studies. Troubleshoots software issues. Works under general supervision. Competencies

Java Developer -- Mid-Level

Our client in Richmond, VA is seeking a mid level Java Developer for a contract position. Assignments include but are not limited to the following:
- Working expertise of XML/XSLT, X/HTML.
- Expertise in all phases of technical writing for details or infrastructure systems. Preferred Computer skills:
- Provide industry standard technical guidance to ensure that installed systems are working effectively and that proposed systems are robust and scalable to meet future organizational demands.
- Design and develop to specifications and maintain application code in accordance with the current development and project management methodologies and practices.
